

With Brazilian engineering and global production, G8 debuts in the Australian market

The vehicles arrive in the country as a custom solution for local operators, designed to meet the specific needs of the market, with the highest standards of efficiency and innovation.

From Brazil to the world
With more than 5 thousand units in circulation in 24 countries, Generation 8 reinforces Marcopolo’s role as a reference in innovation, comfort and safety in international coach transport and the launch of Generation 8 buses in Australia continues Marcopolo’s actions to strengthen its presence in other continents. Originally developed in Brazil, the line is also produced in Colombia, Mexico and China, meeting the specific demands of these markets.
“We are launching the G8 in Australia to expand our participation in the coach segment and complement our product offer, which already includes the urban models Optimus, from the Volgren brand, and the school bus models Endura and Audace, also imported from the China factory,” explains Thiago Deiro, CEO of Volgren.
The model will be marketed with Volvo and Scania chassis options, in 4×2 and 6×2 versions, complying with ECE standards R66.02/SABS, ensuring greater safety with a rollover resistant structure.
The first Australian G8 is a Paradiso G8 1300 that was purchased by the operator Australia Wide Coaches. With 15 meters long, Volvo chassis and steering wheel positioned on the right, the model has an air conditioning system with heating, toilet, USB-C chargers, coffee maker and Full LED headlights.
The official launch took place on September 18, at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne, and brought together more than 200 leaders of the Australian transport sector, as well as company executives.
