MARCOPOLO EXPORTS 19 PARADISO G8 1800 DD BUSES TO ECUADOR
Vehicles were acquired by Cooperativa de Transportes Loja
Cooperativa de Transportes Loja, in the city of Loja, Ecuador, has just purchased 19 Paradiso G8 1800 DD buses, in one of the company’s largest sales to the neighboring country. The vehicles will begin to be delivered in July and will be used in special long-distance service operations between the cities of Loja and the capital Quito.
“The Ecuadorian market has grown and modernized in recent years. This sale of 19 units of the double decker model is very important and will further raise the standard of quality, comfort and safety in the country’s intercity transport”, explains José Luís Goes, Director of Sales and International Operations at Marcopolo.
The 19 Paradiso G8 1800 DD buses have a total length of 14,400mm and capacity for 43 passengers in sleeper seats, with USB sockets, cup holders, cell phone holder and three-point seat belts. The units are equipped with Arco A590DD air conditioning system, Muliplex Lohr, audio and video systems, with Orbe DVD, heater for Liquids and Valeo electronic destination sign.
The Marcopolo Paradiso G8 1800 Double Decker bus remains the most requested model by intercity transport operators in Latin America. The model stands out for the comfort, sophistication, interior design, space and amenities of the seats. “The Paradiso G8 1800 DD is the most sophisticated intercity bus produced by Marcopolo, which is very successful and widely accepted in Brazil and abroad”, he said.
With a striking visual and design awarded by IF Design 2022, the model has Marcopolo’s DNA, with fluid lines, low aerodynamic coefficient, of only 0.384, and meets the strictest international safety standards, such as ECE R66.02 certification, granted by the British Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) for rollovers.
Cooperativa de Transporte Loja
Created in 1961 from the merger of three cooperatives, Cooperativa Loja is the first in Ecuador and has grown with services on various routes between different cities in Ecuador. In 2012, it acquired the first Marcopolo Paradiso G7 1200 models and, in 2014, two units with sleeper seats for the Loja-Quito-Loja route, which allowed for even greater elevation. Today, it has about 120 Marcopolo units in its fleet.
